Introducing... our Staff Bloggers
It's a pleasure to announce An-Najm's new bloggers: Najiyah and Balqees. As a way of an introduction, here's a little about each of them.
Najiyah Helwani is a Syrian-based writer and author of Sophia's Journal: Time Warp 1857 published by Muslim Writers Publishing. Besides Sophia's Journal, she has had a short story, "Carnage", published in the Spring
edition of Damazine (http://damazine.com). She has also
had dozens of articles published in newspapers, won best in state for an article
on the loss of civil liberties when she took a journalism class last year, and
has had one article each in Q-News and Azizah magazines.
Balqees Mohammed is a Saudi-based writer, and a contributor of two poems and short story in the anthology Between Love, Hope & Fear, and is a member of IWA, with contacts with many professionals in the
growing world of Islamic Fiction. She also has some contacts in the world of
secular writing and fiction, which she'll be using as a springboard for interesting articles of merit and importance.
