Imagine a group of 12-15 year old girls at their local mosque waiting for their youth group session to begin. They all sat eagerly, but little did they know that the session would be different from their usual ones; in this session that would have to 'work'. This is the exact description of what happened yesterday at the Waheedah youth Network's group session, and little did I know that I would gain a lesson or two.

Islamic fiction? I had never heard of such a phrase. In all honesty, it seemed quite odd at first, because I thought fiction couldn't possibly be Islamic, but once I got my hands and eyes on a copy of Echoes by Jamilah Kolocotronis, that notion melted faster than ice.
